{"id":431,"date":"2012-09-15T03:26:04","date_gmt":"2012-09-15T03:26:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kandynolesstevens.com\/?p=431"},"modified":"2012-09-15T03:26:04","modified_gmt":"2012-09-15T03:26:04","slug":"15-days-to-go-the-beat-goes-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.realsweetgrace.com\/blog\/?p=431","title":{"rendered":"15 days to go: the beat goes on"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/kandynolesstevens.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/tympani.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-432\" title=\"tympani\" src=\"http:\/\/kandynolesstevens.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/09\/tympani.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"497\" height=\"262\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.realsweetgrace.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/tympani.jpg 550w, http:\/\/www.realsweetgrace.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/tympani-300x158.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 497px) 100vw, 497px\" \/><\/a>Many different times I have said that I would give anything to have Reed back, but I wouldn\u2019t give away any of the friendships that have been forged or solidified\u00a0since his death.\u00a0 Those type of friendships exist for my children as well.\u00a0 Some of these friendships have their roots grounded in a commonality of loss.\u00a0 Sometimes the bonds come from both having connections with Reed, and other times it comes from the shared pain of losing someone close to them.<\/p>\n<p>My kids have bonds with their peers from Faith\u2019s Lodge that will last lifetimes.\u00a0 And the same goes for a friend of Erin\u2019s.\u00a0 They were friends before the loss of his grandmother (a dear friend of our family), but they became closer friends after that.\u00a0 We all knew each other fairly well, but they spent quite a few times just hanging out after her passing.\u00a0 I believe pain knows pain, and suffering knows suffering.\u00a0 But healing and refuge also know how to find safe sanctuary.\u00a0 A safe place to grieve is always a welcome respite.<\/p>\n<p>A by-product of the times they hung out was the discovery that this same friend, Ethon, owns and operates a business with his dad.\u00a0 During one of o ur visits, he thought it would be a good idea to \u201cpep\u201d things up a bit at Reed\u2019s Run, and he was the man to do it.\u00a0He was right.
