Auction Item donated from Garvin Nursery<\/p><\/div>\n

If you have been following the blogs for the countdown to Reed\u2019s Run, then you probably joined me in some giggles on 24 days to go: Where are they now? http:\/\/kandynolesstevens.com\/2012\/09\/06\/24-days-to-go-where-are-they-now\/<\/p>\n

In that blog I shared about my sense of humor when it comes to quirky auction items.\u00a0 I haven\u2019t heard from \u201cBullhorns\u201d but \u201cChainsaw Beaver\u201d is alive and well, settled into his new home with some Boy Scouts.\u00a0 Sunday, we were treated to lunch at the Pizza Ranch, and I almost sprayed my Coke across the table when I looked up and saw \u2013 you guessed it \u2013 bullhorns above the table.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t THE \u201cBullhorns\u201d, but it did make me giggle.<\/p>\n

Along with \u201cNeon Sign\u201d, we have a very unique and beautiful donation this year from the Garvin Nursery.\u00a0 The donation was 5 evergreen trees, ready to be planted at someone\u2019s home, business, or wherever they so desire.\u00a0 I will interject that I did discover that Huck, Andy, Lulu, and Hiccup (all canines) had been writing another blog regarding these trees. http:\/\/kandynolesstevens.com\/2012\/09\/03\/27-days-to-go-who-let-the-dogs-out\/<\/a> I will state that their writing will NEVER see the light of day.\u00a0 The content was offensive to my sensibilities . . . as it was somewhere akin to \u201cA Tree Stands in Brooklyn\u201d humor from Looney Tunes.<\/p>\n

Anyways, the 5 evergreens currently stand proudly on my front deck.\u00a0 Their placement has risen more than a few eyebrows of friends as they have come over recently.\u00a0 So much so, that I began to refer to them in song as in the 12 Days of Christmas, but instead of \u201c5 golden rings\u201d, I belt out, \u201c5 Evergreens\u201d!<\/p>\n

Of course as with any good joke in this family, we couldn\u2019t leave well enough alone.\u00a0 Just like my love of animal prints and bling-y accessories, we had to embellish the \u201c5 Evergreens\u201d with an entire song about Reed\u2019s Run.\u00a0 If only we hadn\u2019t run out of time, we could have made a music video.\u00a0 Instead of a music video, perhaps our \u201cHuck-y saves the Day\u201d commercial will have to suffice.<\/p>\n

Either way, we hope you enjoy our song lyrics and our commercial.\u00a0 Trust us, we had more than a few chuckles ourselves.\u00a0 You never know what we will come up with next!<\/p>\n
